Another piece of the past...this lovely silk crepe (I believe) and cotton lace jabot came from a collector of antique clothing...A very nice lady who was born in 1911 and really liked sewing and refurbishing antique period clothing had this in a box of miscellaneous lace pieces she gave me years ago....I believe it originally went at the collar of a high neck Victorian dress...I really don't know anymore about it than that....it is about 9 inches across and about 7.5 inches from top to bottom...it is two pieces of fabric and held together in the middle with more of the lace...it is in good condition with some minor fraying of the edges of the lace..it would be beautiful framed
